Does Butter Reader work on WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace, and Ghost?
Yes — Butter Reader works on every major CMS, including:
- WordPress (via plugin or embed)
- Webflow
- Squarespace
- Ghost
- Blogger
- Wix
- Custom HTML blogs
- Headless CMS setups
- Shopify blogs
Anywhere you can paste a <script> tag, Butter Reader can be installed.
Why isn’t my audio player showing on my site?
Your CMS player is locked to one domain for security.
If the domain doesn’t match exactly, it won’t load.
Solution:
Update domain inside dashboard → Players → Settings → Website Domain.
2. Your theme hides scripts inside content
Some editors like Elementor, Divi, or Shopify sections block scripts.
Solution:
Place the embed code in your theme header, not inside the post content.
3. Browser caching
Hard refresh the page:
- Windows:
CTRL + SHIFT + R - Mac:
CMD + SHIFT + R
4. Plugin conflicts (WordPress only)
JS-minification, optimization, and security plugins can delay script loading.
